Velvet Run & Walk 2022/Democracy is a Long Distance Run

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Stockholm and the Czech Centre organised a joint run on 26 November at 14:00 on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Velvet Revolution. Dozens of Czechs living in Stockholm and representatives of the diplomatic community joined in.

During the run and walk, we commemorated the period of political change and the moment when Czechoslovakia embarked on the path to democracy. The Velvet Run was held in Stockholm for the first time in 2017. This was the sixth time that we came together and celebrated.
