Alice Nellis, a talented Czech director, has gained recognition in the film industry for her unique perspective on human stories and her ability to bring authentic emotions to the screen. Her latest film, "Buko," serves as another proof to her exceptional talent.

Synopsis: Jarmila finds herself at a life crossroads after the loss of her husband. She must decide whether to patiently "wait out" the rest of her life or muster the courage to embark on an adventure with an uncertain outcome. Despite well-intentioned advice from her adult children, she chooses the latter. This involves starting a new life at a cottage in the romantic wilderness in the heart of the Mácha region, a place her husband adored. Moreover, her husband left her a retired circus horse named Buko in his will, which may seem like a harsh joke at first, as Jarmila is afraid of horses. With the help of her neighbors, she decides to confront this unexpected situation and soon realizes that this horse might bring happiness back into her life.
