Screening of the movie "Together"

Date: 16 August 2023 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Venue: Embassy of the Czech Republic, The Pavilion, Villagatan 21

As part of the regular Film Club, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Stockholm and the Czech Centre Stockholm were screening successful drama "Together (2022)" on Wednesday 16 August at 18:00 in the Pavilion at the Embassy of the Czech Republic.

The film follows the story of a twenty-five-year-old Tereza, who returns home to her mother and her brother Michal, a ten-year-old boy trapped in an adult body. Tereza broke up with her boyfriend and her return will change everyone's lives forever. For unlike her, the household she has returned to hasn't changed a bit. Mom still lives only for her son, and her brother takes precedence over her in everything. Theresa feels intensely that her mother should think more of herself... and of her. So she decides to make a move that will leave neither of them the same.

In the film directed by the duo of Martin Müller and David Laňka, Štěpán Kozub shines in the lead role of a man with autism. Together they work on both a serious and a humorous level and offer a quite authentic insight into a family tested by fate and interpersonal relationships, whether a family or a partner.

The film was in Czech language with English subtitles with a running time of 120 minutes.
