Due to the currently ongoing Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the previous Czech Presidency, the discussion covered effective regulation of capital markets in the EU, sustainable investments, investor protection, increasing the competitiveness of European financial markets, ESG criteria and other topics of common interest. Representatives of the Ministries of Finance of both countries, who exchanged views on current EU priorities in the financial area, also attended the round table.

The successful event, which in addition to a beneficial discussion also helped to raise the profile of the Czech capital market in Sweden and throughout the EU, was co-organized by the Czech Capital Market Association, its partner the Swedish Investment Fund Association (Fonbolagens Förenings) and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Stockholm. Twenty leaders attended the meeting from Czech and Swedish investment companies, leading banks and representatives of the Ministries of Finance from both countries.
